takes several hours to complete, so plan accordingly!
Failure to complete ALL sections of your application will make it ineligible for consideration.

Instructions for 2026 high school seniors:
- If you are a first-time applicant, start by creating an account, then complete your profile.
- Use a permanent email address when registering so that we can stay in contact with you. Do not use your Dover-Sherborn or college email address.
- Note: your parents will need to supply the required financial information. Your application is not officially started until this information is complete and failure to submit this information will prevent your eligibility to the full funds available. All financial information remains confidential to Scholarship America and is not accessible by Sherborn Dollars for Scholars board members. Board members are only notified if an application has a financial need to consider with an application. For any questions about FASFA please visit this site.
- Essays are required for all applications. Give special consideration to your essays. Use it to tell us more about you and your accomplishments beyond grades. Do not forget to complete the Special Circumstances section.
- Review to make sure you have entered all required information, including the essays.
- Sign your application and click submit. Please do everyone a favor and submit your application on time.
- We will review your application in the spring and announce decisions at the award ceremony in June.

Instructions for returning applicants:
- Returning applicants must submit a new application each year. Awards are not automatically renewable and applications will be reviewed each year.
- To be eligible for the scholarship you must maintain a 2.5 or higher GPA in college. Please submit your transcript with your application (an unofficial transcript is acceptable but must list the name of the institution).
- Your family must still reside in Sherborn to be considered. You must provide proof of Sherborn residency with your application. (Examples include current utility or tax bill. Please redact as appropriate.)
- Instructions have also been emailed to you. Please follow the instructions in the email to submit the documents via email.
- DO NOT submit information online via the portal or adjust your existing account. Doing so will impede our ability to review your application.
